How to get a diagram of a farm or Erf in towns from the Surveyor General.
1. Google - Surveyor General
2. Under Chief Surveyor General – C O (Click On) Here
3. C O Search on town /region, farm name
Search on document No.
4. Enter Details on screen (example is Goedgeloof Farm 745 ,Humansdorp Dist on which portion with thatch roofs of St Francis Bay is built)
Province: Eastern Cape
Rural/urban: Rural
Town/District: Humansdorp
Enter Parcel No: 745
(If you do not spell the farm name the way the Surveyor has it, it will not work.)
C O Search
5. Town /Region No Action
Humansdorp Search
C O –Search
6. Headings are--- Doc No Page Doc Type Real Name
C O the info in red under Real Name
7. On the bottom Left Hand corner of the screen the Doc. No you clicked on is displayed. Click on the option arrow and choose Open. If you just click on the Doc No it will lead you to the same result as given in 8 below.
8. The Document can be displayed, printed or saved
The normal size document on the screen is often unreadable, but if it is enlarged it becomes easily readable. The normal size print-out is clear.
Sometimes the print-out has parts cut off ,so before you delete the screen make sure that all the details are on the hard copy.
